Independence is a holistic feeling for all of us. I am treating so many patients with serious blood diseases and blood cancers daily and I realised 2 days ago when a 14 year old girl who finished her blood cancer treatment with me at Lotus recently thanked me for giving her " independence" from the clutches of cancer and now she is planning to study medicine and become a doctor!
She hails from Sinner a small town 25 kms from Nashik. she had a type of blood cancer called acute lymphoblastic leukemia, but she also had the cancer cells in her brain fluid called CSF and hence she needed more aggressive chemotherapy and Radiotherapy for cure.
She was very tolerant towards her entire treatment and even consoled her mother who use to be in tears!
where do some children get this energy and intellect?
I am blessed to have come across many such patients whom I can never forget.
all such patients give me strength to fight the daily negativity and produce moments for my patients which they cherish for their entire life.
