Inspiring people are all around us...world is full of energetic individuals whom we miss. One such person I met recently at a rotary club function is Nayak ( Retd) Deepchandji.
He is a Kargil war veteran and lost his legs and right arm during the parliament attack.
He is a survivor and has been inspiring people from all walks of life since then.
I found similarities between him and our cancer survivors as they also have to go through a lot of mental trauma and many come out victorious. I salute all cancer survivors and their caretakers and fondly remember all from our lotus hospital.
Blood cancer entails chemotherapy and sometimes they need bone marrow transplant as well.
